Child Birth: Timing, Suitable Time To Conceive, Twins Birth and Custody of Child via Predictive Astrology

Childbirth is the most important event in anyone's life. It is the flow of life from one generation to the next. Predicting childbirth requires the birth horoscope of both mother and the father and not just of any one of them. So, if you are trying to predict the time of childbirth just by looking at your own horoscope, then it will not work.

But you can see when is the best time for you to have children through childbirth astrology.

We can predict the time when the child will be conceived & not the time when the child will actually take birth. I have tried those methods of finding out the time of birth and they did not work.

Sometimes, there is a difference of months between the calculated time and when the childbirth actually happened.

So, instead of finding out the time of birth it would be better that you pay extra attention to the lady expecting a baby.

Once conceived, we can find out the things like:

1. Childbirth via normal delivery or cesarean
2. Birth to twins
3. Whether the child would be healthy.

First, we need to see that the horoscope does support childbirth. If the majority of planets in the horoscopes of husband and wife are positive for childbirth then it will happen anyway.

Second, we need to find out the best time period for the mother to conceive in order to give birth to a healthy baby.

If the mother goes through good time periods, gets the proper nutrition and care then her body will stay healthy and the child born would be healthy. Horoscope of father is not required once the child is conceived.

Child birth is not seen in the horoscope when you adopt your brother’s, friend’s child or a child from an orphanage. You do not require any combinations for adopting a child; you just require kindness and some goodwill.

There is no need to wait for time for an act of kindness.

For a child to get adopted, the child's horoscope should support adoption. Influence of Jupiter or Mercury on the eighth house makes the adoption happen.

Timing of Child Birth

Child birth is gain of child to the family when husband & wife mate with each other. Now, when you finally know when you should see this combination in horoscope let us understand how a planet signifies child birth.

A Planet Signifies Child Birth When It Signifies Houses 2, 5 & 11

House 2: Involvement of Family and Society
House 5: Progeny/Child/Creation
House 11: Fulfilment of Desire / Gain

Meaning: Gain (11) of child (5) in the family (2)

As per rules of bhrigu nadi astrology, 12th house from every house negates the results of that house. Therefore, for a planet to deny/negate child birth it should signify houses 12th from the houses of child birth i.e. 1, 4, 10.

A Planet Denies Child Birth When It Signifies Houses 1, 4 & 10

House 1: Loss to Family / No Interest in Children
House 4: No Progeny / Loss of Child
House 10: No Gain / No Fulfilment of Desire

Meaning: No gain (10) of child (4) to the family (1)

You will require knowing Rules of Nadi Astrology in order to understand how a planet signify events and in which dasha these events will happen.

Jupiter is the natural significator of childbirth. Jupiter can give childbirth even if it does not signify any of the houses regarding childbirth i.e. 2, 5 & 11. But on one condition, it should not signify all the childbirth denying houses which are 1, 4 & 10 otherwise, childbirth will not happen in Jupiter dasha.

One does not require waiting for Jupiter dasha to become a parent. Any planet signifying houses of childbirth can give you childbirth no matter if it is associated with Jupiter or getting Jupiter’s aspect or not.

We never predict the gender of the child as we believe both girls and boys are equally competent. Being gender biased is immoral and against the law. One should accept a child as a blessing from lord and perform all the duties of being a parent righteously.

Now, let's understand how a planet signify or denies childbirth and how you predict childbirth through these examples.

Example 1

Planet: 1, 3, 4

              2, 4, 9

              7, 8, 10

This planet signifies child birth negating houses and has complete combination of 1, 4, and 10. Therefore child birth will not happen in Dasha of this planet. Especially when both husband and wife go through Dasha of such planet.

If this Planet is Jupiter, then we can say it is negative for child birth for this native. Also, note that house 2 is signified but because it does not have other supporting houses therefore it cannot do any help.

Example 2

Planet: 1, 3, 4

              2, 4, 11

              2, 4, 5, 11

This one is bit tricky, I have chosen this one just to help you understand.

1. Houses indicated in the first line are signified by the planet, second line is signified by the planet’s star lord and third line is signified by the planet’s sub lord.
2. Give strength of 1 unit to the planet, 2 units to the Star Lord & 3 units to the Sub Lord. Give negative points to negating houses and positive to supporting houses.

Planet/First Line: House 1 (-1); House 4 (-1) = -2

Star Lord/Second Line:  House 2 (+1); House 4 (-1); House 11 (+1) = (+1-1+1)*2 = 2

Sub Lord/Third Line:  House 2 (+1); House 4 (-1); House 5 (+1); House 11 (+1) = (+1-1+1+1)*3 = 6

Now, add the results obtained.

-2+2+6 = 6

Therefore, this planet supports childbirth.

Example 3

Planet: 1, 2

              4, 5

              10, 11

This one has both the combinations of approving or denying the childbirth; when you will calculate using the previous formula then you will get an answer zero.

So, will the childbirth happen or not? The answer is that it depends upon other planets whose time period is running. If they support childbirth will happen and if they don’t childbirth will not happen. Meaning, this planet is neutral and has no say of its own. If you calculate the positive and negative separately, then you will get +6 & -6.

Note: A negative answer can still support the event. Positive should be 1/3rd or more than that of the negative number. Example: In this case for a planet having -6 points it should have at least +2 points to agree. Then the event is possible when the time period of a very strong planet is running simultaneously. Strong means a planet with a high positive score.

Suitable Time To Conceive a Baby

Horoscope of the female is most important when it comes to finding out the suitable time for having children. Horoscope of the male and the female is important at the time of conception so that the female can conceive and after the conception, the male's horoscope is not required.

A healthy mother will give birth to a healthy baby - if she is going through good time periods then the body is properly nourishing the baby.

When a number of planets deny having a child then the best time to conceive a baby is when the planets support childbirth. This is because we do not have many options left.

But when you have a number of planets positive for childbirth then we can choose the most ideal time for conception.

Planets

This should be the order of your preference: Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Sun and Mars.

Avoid conceiving in the time period of Saturn, Rahu and Ketu especially when they signify childbirth denying houses (1, 4 and 10) or bad houses (6, 8 and 12).

Houses Signified

The lord of time period at the time of conception and the lord of the following time periods should signify houses positive for conception (2, 5 and 11) and health (5, 9 and 11).

If the lords of following time periods signify houses negative for conception (1, 4 and 10) and health (6, 8 and 12) then the baby's health will suffer and it is better to avoid conception.

Example 1

Planet: 1 4 8 12
Star:     2 5 9 11
Sub:     2 5 9 11

It is okay to conceive in the time period of such planet as more positive houses are signified by the planet and as per the Rules of Bhrigu Nadi Astrology, sub lord is stronger than the star lord and star lord is stronger than the planet.

Example 2

Planet: 1 5 6
Star:     2 4 8 9
Sub:     10 11 12

This is a mixed combination and look for a better time period, if possible. If this is the sub-sub time period (Paryantar dasha) and the sub time period (Antar dasha) signifies the combination in example 1, then this planet will become favorable.

Houses signified by the planets are more important than their own natural significations. If you have very positive Saturn, Rahu and Ketu while all the other planets are negative then it is better to conceive in their time periods.

Best Time To Conceive

The ideal case would be when you go through the time periods of benefics signifying all the good houses.

Obviously, you cannot choose a main time period (Maha Dasha) to conceive because main time periods last from 6 to 20 years.

You can choose the sub time period (Antar Dasha) of a benefic signifying all the good houses and a few good sub-sub time periods.

Example

A lady is going through the time period of Saturn and sub time period of Saturn is about to end. Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Sun and Moon are positive planets and others are negative.

The best time to conceive is in Saturn/Mercury/Venus. The sub-sub time periods of Venus, Sun and Moon will cover the entire pregnancy period.

This is how we have to figure out when the conception should happen.

Miscarriage/Abortion

When the time period of Saturn, Rahu or Ketu is in operation and they signify all the houses negative for conception and health (1 4 10 6 8 12) then they make the miscarriage or abortion happen.

Their presence in this fifth house further increases the possibility of happening of such event.

It is better to avoid conception when you have such planetary placements and their time period is approaching.

If a number of planets in the chart signify such combinations only then the miscarriage or abortion happens, otherwise, everything goes fine.

This does not include the case where you abort the child intentionally but only due to some medical reasons.

Example

Saturn, Rahu and Mercury are in the fifth house in the constellation of Satabhisha (owned by Rahu) and in the sub of Rahu.

So, all three of them will strongly give the results of Rahu.

Let's assume that the Ascendant Chart and the Nirayana Bhava Chalit Chart is same in this case.

Rahu gives results of its sign lord, planets aspecting and conjunct with it. -Accurately assess Results of Rahu and Ketu

Rahu is occupying the sign of Venus and is conjunct with Saturn and Mercury.

Saturn: Occupies fifth house and owns eighth and ninth house.

Venus: Occupies sixth house and owns fifth and twelfth house.

Mercury: Occupies fifth house and owns first and fourth house.

Saturn: 5 8 9
Venus: 5 6 12
Mercury: 1 4 5

Rahu will give results of all these planets.

Rahu: 1 4 5 6 8 9 12

Rahu more strongly signifies houses negative for childbirth and health. Since, Saturn, Mercury and Rahu are present in the constellation and sub of Rahu, all of them are negative for childbirth and they indicate the miscarriage.

Cesarean

If the delivery is happening in the time period of Mars or Ketu and they are signifying the eighth house the cesarean delivery happens.

Planets getting their aspect and signifying the eighth house can also make it happen.

Birth of Twins

Finding out whether you will have twins is pretty easy.

You need to see that any one of these conditions is met in the Ascendant Chart:

• Jupiter in the fifth house
• Jupiter's sign in the fifth house
• Mercury in the fifth house
• Mercury's sign in the fifth house
• Two or more planets in the fifth house
• Two or more planets aspecting the fifth house

When any of these conditions are met in the horoscope of both the husband and the wife then there is just a possibility of twins birth.

Now, we have to find out if this person will have twins in future or will give birth to a single child. By only using the Ascendant Chart, Nirayana Bhava Chalit Chart & degrees of the planets we can give the prediction.

1. Check if any of the conditions mentioned above is met in the Ascendant Chart.
2. Analyze if Mercury or Jupiter supports the child birth.

To analyze Mercury & Jupiter we have to use their placement in Bhava Chalit Chart & their degrees. - Refer to Rules of Nadi Astrology

1. Mercury is in the Constellation of Ketu & Sub of Mercury.
   
   Mercury in Bhava Chalit Chart is present in the ninth house & its zodiac signs (Gemini & Virgo) are present in eighth & twelfth house. Mecury signifies 8 9 10 & Ketu signifies 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 11 12.
   
   Mercury: 8 9 10
   Ketu: 1 2 3 4 5 9 7 8 9 11
   Mercury: 8 9 10.


2. Jupiter is in the Constellation of Mars & Sub of Rahu.
   
   Jupiter in Bhava Chalit Chart is present in eleventh house and its zodiac signs (Sagittarius & Pisces) are present in second & fourth house. Jupiter signifies 2 4 11, Mars signifies 1 5 6 9 & Rahu signifies 1 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12.
   
   Jupiter: 2 4 11
   Mars: 1 5 6 9
   Rahu: 1 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12.
   

In this case, Jupiter is more strongly signifying birth of child while Mercury is denying. Therefore, we can say that birth of twins is possible.

Confirmation of Birth of Twins

Once you have checked that the Ascendant chart shows a possibility for twins birth, you need to see that all these conditions are fulfilled:

1. Jupiter or Mercury positive for child birth
2. Husband and wife simultaneously go through the time period of positive Jupiter and/or Mercury
3. Conceiving the child in that time period

Let's say the wife's Mercury is positive for childbirth in the fifth house and the husband's Jupiter positive for childbirth aspecting the fifth house. The husband go through the time period of Jupiter and wife go through that of Mercury simultaneously then the twins birth will happen.

It is not necessary that both of them should have a positive Jupiter or Mercury. We need to see that they both individually satisfy the conditions for twins birth.

Custody of Child

When the husband and the wife have a lot of difference and do not wish to stay together, children suffer. In this modern world, sometimes love fall short against ego and desires.

Then a situation arises where the mother and father fight for the custody of the child.

Now, it depends on the child's horoscope who will win the court case.

4th house is for the mother and 9th house is for the father.

12th from the 4th house is the 3rd house which means losing the mother, and, 12th from the 9th house is the 8th house which means losing the father.

Combinations of Houses for Custody of Child

Custody to Mother: 4 8
Custody to Father: 3 9
Custody to Someone Else: 3 8

Planetary Significations

Our system of prediction is based on numbers (combination of houses) but planets hold their own significance and they can help in finding out who will get the custody of the child.

1. Sun - Father
2. Moon - Mother
3. Mercury - Uncle/Aunt
4. Mars - Brother
5. Saturn - Old Person
6. Rahu or Ketu - Grand Parents

In the majority of cases, the child either goes with the father or the mother.

There could be a case where the child losses both of them due to some accident and the child will stay either with the grandparents, brother or anyone else.

Then the planets will indicate with whom the child will stay.

Adoption in Horoscope

Eighth house signifies the legacy and for a child to get adopted you need to see the eighth house in the ascendant chart.

You need to see that any one of these conditions is met in the Ascendant Chart:

• Jupiter in the eighth house
• Jupiter's sign in the eighth house
• Mercury in the eighth house
• Mercury's sign in the eighth house
• Two or more planets in the eighth house
• Two or more planets aspecting the eighth house

When any of these conditions are met in the horoscope, there is a good possibility that the native will get adopted or will inherit from someone who is not the native's biological parent.

Example

This is the birth horoscope of someone who was adopted by his father's brother. You can see that the Jupiter is occupying the eighth house in the Ascendant Chart (Lagna Chart).

This means that when any of the conditions for adoption is met, it generates a possibility of adoption.

But there is one more thing.

Planets should signify the combination of 4 and 8 for the adoption to happen.

If the planets, especially Jupiter or Mercury, does not signify this combination then the adoption will not happen. Jupiter and Mercury signify multiplicity and therefore they are important.

An adopted child carries the legacy of the biological parents and the adoptive parents.

Now, to see the total significations of a planet, we need to take the planet, star lord and sub lord into account.

Jupiter is in the star of Sun and sub of Saturn.

Jupiter: 3 5 6 7
Sun: 2
Saturn: 2 4

Mercury is in the star of Venus and sub of Moon

Mercury: 2 9 11 12
Venus: 1 8
Moon: 7 10

In this case, Jupiter and Mercury do not signify 4 and 8.

Venus in the star of Saturn and sub of Sun.

Venus: 1 8
Saturn: 2 4
Sun: 2

Venus signifies this combination and is aspected by Jupiter. Therefore, the child can get adopted in the Venus time period.

Conclusion

The beauty of Bhrigu Nadi Astrology (Stellar Astrology) is that we have clearly mentioned steps and we know when and what to see.

Even if you are new to astrology, you can use these methods to apply on your own horoscope and easily find out how things are working.

In Vedic astrology, we need to see the Ascendant Chart, Moon Chart and Saptamsa Chart (D-7) just to predict the childbirth. The fact is that transits are not actually a part of Hindu System of Astrology but still, Vedic astrologers tell you to look at the transit of planets in these charts.

We do use transits but they have a very limited use and most of the answers can be given by only looking at the time periods (Dashas).

In this entire article, I have not mentioned about the transits anywhere and showed you all the steps to predict the time of childbirth, birth of twins and adoption just by looking at the horoscope.
