Career astrology is about predicting what would be the status of a person in the world. It indicates how much a person can rise in his life irrespective of how much that person is educated. We always see examples where a person who is not much qualified makes millions.

Wealth Giving Houses

Wealth giving houses are the most important houses which are required to rise in career. You require these houses no matter what profession you are in order to be successful. While other houses signify what will be your profession, these houses signify the level of success in that profession.

These houses are known as the wealth giving houses:

•  Second House – Finance, Wealth & Possessions
•  Sixth House - Hard Work, Employment & Ability to Compete
•  Tenth House – Status, Respect, Rank, Name & Fame
•  Eleventh House – Fulfillment of Desires & Monetary Gains

These are the most important houses everybody requires in order to be successful in career & earn money. When a person goes through the time period of a planet which signifies these houses, there is an increase in bank balance, financial stability & respect in the society.

These houses help in winning the competition and hence important to both the employee & the employer. An employee competes with other employees & a businessman competes with other businessmen.

You might be thinking if a person requires all of these houses in order to win or any one of them will do. Well, more of these houses will indicate more gain & hence more success.

Now, will all these houses give you the same level of success?

No, there is the difference in strength of all these houses.

Second House < Sixth House < Tenth House < Eleventh House

This is the sequence of the relative strength of these houses. Eleventh house, in any case, is the most powerful house & is capable of fulfilling any desire.

A person having more planets signifying the tenth & eleventh houses will reach the heights in career & will gain a lot of respect as compared to any other person. While a person having the second, sixth & tenth house in the majority of planets will still have difficulty in defeating a person with the earlier combination.

Usually, celebrities, famous politicians, senators & billionaires have at least 5 or 6 planets signifying the tenth & eleventh houses. People who get famous for a short period of time or become a sensation on TV or internet have this combination in one or two planets.

Later, when the time period of that planet ends, people forget them. A common man or an average person usually has this combination in one or two planets but either they have other planets ill placed or the time period of these planets never come in their life.

Penury Bringing Houses

Houses which brings penury to a person:

•  Sixth House - Obstacles, Theft, Competition
•  Eighth House - Tension, Fight, Unearned Money
•  Twelfth House - Loss, Failure, Expenditure

The sixth house itself is positive for career but it shows its negative side when the same planet signifying the sixth house also signifies the eighth or twelfth house.

These houses alone or in combination shows their negativity.

•  6 & 8 - Too much of Opposition and Stress
•  6 & 12 - Failure in Competition or Theft of Hard Earned Money
•  8 & 12 - Losing a Fight or Sudden Loss of Money
•  6 8 12 - Stress, Opposition, Losses, Troubles, Suffering

Sixth House < Eighth House < Twelfth House

This means that sixth house is the least negative among these three.

If a planet signifies one of these bad houses and tenth or eleventh house then you can expect good results.

•  6 & 11 - Win in Competition
•  8 & 11 - Gain of Unearned Money
•  12 & 11 - Gain after Expenditure

Eleventh house increases your level of success, tenth house with these negative houses gives similar results but the level of success or gain decreases.

Ups and Downs in Career

When the lord of Main Time period (Mahadasha) signifies the good as well as the bad houses then the native suffers ups and downs in career.

If the lord of main time period is strong and signifies 10 and 11 then the career is stable but bad sub time period (antardasha) will not let the person rise.

This person will face obstacles but will see a steady growth in career.

Profession of a Person

In earlier times, there used to be very limited type of jobs to do and now when there are so many types of profession, it is difficult to tell what exactly a person will do.

The best way to figure out what you are meant to do is that: you figure it out yourself.

To know what type of profession is good for a person, we need to check the combinations of houses signified by the planets and not the sixth house or tenth house. The ascendant is a very important house, things related to the houses signified by the Ascendant lord and planets in the ascendant always affects your head.

Astrology can give an indication about what a person is meant to do in life.

1.  Actor/Artist
   Fifth house represents the creativity and this house becomes the most important house to become an artist.
   
   The combination of a successful actor: 5 8 12 + 10 11.
   
   10 and 11 should outnumber the 8 and 12 otherwise the actor will not become successful. The reason that an actor faces ups and downs in career is because the planets simultaneously signify the houses good and bad for career.
   
   Also, if the planets signify good houses (5 9 11) then the person will get good type of roles otherwise will do negative roles.
   
   
2.  Doctor
   A doctor has to treat the patients' body. First house signifies the body, and sixth, eight and twelfth house signifies diseases.
   
   The combination to become a successful doctor: 1 6 8 12 + 10 11.
   
3.  Engineer
   There are a number of fields in engineering but the general combination is same which is: 2 4 5 8 9 11 12 + 10 11.
   
   If the third house joins this combination then a person becomes an IT Engineer.
   
4.  Lawyer

The time period of Sun or Moon (whichever is positive) should be in operation at the time of civil services examination. The planets signifying these combination and getting aspect from the positive Sun or Moon will also make a person civil servant.

Sportsperson

Sun should signify 5 and 10, and other planets in the birth chart (especially, the lord of current time period) should signify 10 11 for a person to become a successful and famous sportsperson.

Combinations To Become Famous

These are the simple combinations which tell becoming famous no matter what you do or how you become famous.

The combinations are: 3, 6 & 11, and 3, 10 & 11.

The third house is for communication and it represents the media industry, therefore, this house is very important in order to become famous.

Third house represents change, and fame comes and goes. So, your fame will last till you are going through a time period supporting this combination.

Third house also represents your own efforts, so, if you have not done something good enough then fame will not come to you.

Business or Job?

Eleventh house brings status, respect and money. It is possible that one makes hundreds of thousands of dollars through a job but not even a single penny through business and vice versa.

We all have some talent and eleventh house helps us make huge sums of money through that talent. Therefore, one can expect growth and prosperity only when they are doing what they are good at.

Job

You get a job based on your qualification and skills. Let's say if a person is very good at programming then he will get the job of a programmer and may not get into other roles like marketing or sales.

A job brings you stability and you need to focus on just one thing (mostly) which you are assigned and you may not be worrying about what others doing.

We just need to see that you are going through a good time period when you are looking for a job or when your contract is about to end so that you can easily find a new one.

Government Job or Private Job

This is a very common thing that I observe in the birth charts of people preparing for government job when the Sun and Moon are not in favor.

Not getting selected is a failure and only ill placed planets bring failure and dissatisfaction.

You need to see the following things in your chart:

1. The Sun or the Moon should should signify houses positive for career.
2. Planets positive for career getting aspect from the Sun or Moon(whichever is positive).
3. Time periods when you will go through the time periods of the Sun, Moon or those planets

Those are the time periods that indicates the time when you would be able to succeed and get a government job.

Stronger planetary placements are required depending on how prestigious is the job.

Business

In order to do a business, you have to be good at a number of things.

You should have the following qualities:

• Leadership
• Ability to work alone and in a group
• Knowledge about your domain
• Curiosity to learn new things
• Adaptability

Whether you have money to invest or not, if you are meant to become successful then you will figure out a way.

Inheriting a Business

Starting a new business does not require you to go through a very strong main time period(mahadasha) or sub time period(antardasha).

I have observed that generally, people start a new business when the lord of main time period or sub time period signify: 2 7 10 11.

•  Second House: Things which you already possess like experience, knowledge, money and assets.
•  Seventh House: Prime house for business and public dealing.
•  Tenth House: Authority and ownership.
•  Eleventh House: Helps in fulfilling your desires.

The success or failure depends on whether that planet strongly signifies good houses or bad houses, and the nature of following time periods.

So, you can feel that you really want to start a new business in order to become rich and successful even when you are going through a bad time period.

Whether it is business or job, nothing guarantees success but the right time.

The following time periods should be positive otherwise you will struggle a lot in expanding your business and making some real money out of it.
