Predict Change or Loss of Job via Career Astrology

Important Houses: 5th and 9th house. These houses are not bad. They are filled with all the good qualities. But being twelfth from the houses of career they only bring change of job. They neither hurt your bank balance nor bring troubles in your career. People usually change job because they are not comfortable with their current situations. The problem can be regarding working conditions, behaviour of the colleagues or necessity of a higher income. Desire for a promotion, stability and more respect is the main cause that pushes people to find a new job. But in this competitive world, it is not always possible to get that desired job. It requires a lot of hard work, experience, and some good luck to get what you want.

People usually change job because they are not comfortable with their current situation. The problem can be regarding working conditions, behavior of the colleagues or necessity of a higher income. Desire for a promotion, stability and more respect is the main cause that pushes people to find a new job.

But in this competitive world, it is not always possible to get that desired job. It requires a lot of hard work, experience, and some good luck to get what you want.

Career Astrology can help in determining when change of job is possible. In spite of the fact that hard work is the key, we do require planetary support to make it happen.

In order to make the Change of Job happen, these three things are required:
  1. Desire for growth in Career
  2. Current Job is Temporary / Paying Low
  3. Planets supporting Change of Job.

Now, first two things depend on you. If you do not want it, planets cannot do anything. If you want it, then you require planetary support for it to happen.

How to See if Change of Job is Possible?

In career astrology, I have explained in detail that Second house, Sixth house & Tenth house are important for career. Eleventh house when joins these houses bring more income, higher rank and more respect. Main houses for career are Sixth & Tenth.

If you have read the Rules of Predictive Astrology, you know that “twelfth house from every house negates results of that house.”

Twelfth house from Sixth is Fifth house and from Tenth house its Ninth house.

Important Houses: 5th and 9th house

These houses are not bad. They are filled with all the good qualities. But being twelfth from the houses of career they only bring change of job. They neither hurt your bank balance nor bring troubles in your career.

Conditions to be fulfilled:
  1. Main time period Lord should signify fifth and ninth house
  2. Time period of Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu or Ketu should be in operation
  3. Check the upcoming Sub-Sub Time period of the planet that supports the event.


Example 1: Main Time period of Venus is in operation.
Venus: 2 7 12
             5 10 11
             5 9 12

Venus is signifying 5 and 9. Therefore, this Venus is capable of giving change of job. But in order make the change of Job happen either Sub or Sub-Sub Time period of Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu or Ketu is required and they should signify similar combinations.

Planets getting aspect or conjunct with these planets can also give change of job if they also signify these combinations.

Suppose, Saturn signifies 5 and 9, Time period of Mercury is going on and Mercury is getting aspect from Saturn. In order to get change of job in Mercury Time period, Mercury should signify 5 and 9. Otherwise, Saturn’s aspect won’t work.

Note: Combinations signified by the planet is the primary and most important thing. Aspects are secondary. Aspects only transfer natural significations and can not influence a planet to change its result. Planet’s give result only in their time period as explained in Rules of Predictive Astrology.

Change of Job for Good OR Bad?

After knowing if Change of Job is possible or not, check what other houses are signified by the planets giving change of job.

Change for Good: 6 10; 6 11; 10 11; 6 10 11
Change for Bad: 6 8; 6 12; 8 12; 6 8 12

Sixth house and Tenth house are good for career. Sixth house when joins Eighth & Twelfth house brings its negative side and starts opposing Tenth & Eleventh house.

If a planet signifies both the combinations then follow these rules:

Rule 1) Tenth & Eleventh will bring improvement. – Example 1
Rule 2) Sixth, Eighth and Twelfth will make the conditions worst (bring more obstacles).
Rule 3) Power of Combination of 10 & 11 = Power of Combination of 6 8 12 = 8 12 > 6 8 > 6 12.
Rule 4) If both the combinations are present, combination signified by Constellation Lord & Sub Lord is stronger.

Note: Priority of next rule is less than previous one.
Example 2: Planet bad for career
Planet: 2 7 11
             6 10 11
             5 8 12

Example 3: Planet Good for career
Planet: 2 7 11
             6 10 11
             5 9 12

Even though the bad houses are signified by Constellation & Sub Lord, but Rule 3 says Combination of Tenth & Eleventh is Stronger than 6 12.

I know it may look bit confusing at first, but you have to read it quite a few times to be able to understand it properly. As I always say, “No Shortcut to Accurate Predictions”.

Once the analysis for each and every planet is done, they can categorized as positive and negative. Time periods of such positive planets is suitable for job change and the new job will bring growth and prosperity to the native.

Only Vimshottari Dasha table should be referred to know the time periods of different planet and then the native can decide in which year and month it is suitable to switch the job.

Difficulty in Changing the Job

Change of job is not smooth when a planet signifying fifth house and ninth house also signifies sixth, eighth and twelfth house.

Then a person face difficulties during job change and does not get the expected growth in income.

Loss of Job

Loss of Job in other words means you were fired. Reason could be anything. Usually companies fire employees to increase its net revenue & not because they all were incompetent. It depends upon the top management of the company whether to fire them or not. Let’s only focus if a person would be fired or not.

Loss of Job: 5 8 12
  1. Lord of Main time Period should signify this combination
  2. Check if Sub or Sub-Sub Time period Lord & other planets signifying these combinations
  3. Planets signifying these combinations conjunct or aspect each other in Transit.
In Main and Sub (or Sub-Sub) Time Period when planets will join each other in transit, event will happen. If the main time period lord (or sub time period lord) does not signify it, then nothing will happen.

If you are going through a strong main and sub time period then a bad sub-sub time period cannot make the loss of job happen.
