Results of Sun in Different Houses for Every Ascendant and Reality Behind the Predictions based upon House Placement - Cisun

Sun is a luminary and it is the only source of light, energy & heat we have in this solar system. Sun rules on our soul and it is only because of the Sun that this solar system & life is possible. Since, Sun is so important in our birth chart therefore in whichever house the Sun goes, it will surely brighten that house & will have a huge impact on that house and on our personality as well.

In Nadi Astrology, we never give any important to the placement of any planet in any house. Every time we wish to find out the events a planet can trigger in the native's life we apply the Rules of Nadi Astrology on that planet. It does not matter if it is the smallest planet of Solar System Mercury or it is the huge shining bright star Sun, the method of finding out the planetary significations remains the same.


In this article, I will tell you theories written in books that most astrologers follow now just because famous astrologers of earlier times wrote that book. I will share my own experience and it is up to you if you wish to follow those theories. Again, I would want to tell you that this is not Nadi Astrology, there are no hard and fast rules in Nadi Astrology and proper analysis is done before drawing any conclusion.

  1. Sun in the First House: When Sun is in the first house a person is Righteous, healthy, bilious, prone to eye disease, intelligent, good moral values, will be successful in politics, stately appearance, humanitarian instincts, lazy in work, fond of daring deeds, hot constitution, careless of reputation, generous, will not take credit, will do good deeds, not combative and pioneering.
  2. Sun in the Second House: The native is prone to diseases of face, looks ugly, losses from prosecutions, will earn well, bright speech, enquiring, very well education, scientific minded, stubborn, peevish temper and will stammer.
  3. Sun in the Third House: The person will be courageous, liberal, adventurous, famous, intelligent, wealthy, successful and restless.
  4. Sun in the Fourth House: Will be mentally worried, meditative, defective organs, will become successful in foreign countries, will hate relations, keenly, sensitive, will have a good reputation, success after middle age, quarrels without causes, weak constitution, introspective, unhappy, philosophical, squanders paternal property.
  5. Sun in the Fifth House: The native will be intelligent, poor, will have few children, danger to paternal family, corpulent, danger to father, unhappy, disturbed in mind, lover of fine arts and tactful in decision.
  6. Sun in the Sixth House: Defy customs and castes, good administrative ability, few cousins and few enemies, bold and successful, be like a warrior, licentious, wealthy, gains from enemies, clever in panning, terror to enemies, executive ability and colic troubles.
  7. Sun in the Seventh House: Late and troubled marriage, loose morals and not religious, hatred by the fair sex, fond of travelling, submissive to wife, wealth through female agency, fond of foreign things, discontented, wife of questionable character, subservient to woman and risk of dishonor and disgrace through them.
  8. Sun in the Eighth House: Will have a long life, uncharitable, sickly constitution, sudden gains, complain in eyes, sores in the head, poor and uneventful life, narrow and obscure.
  9. Sun in the Ninth House: Will have knowledge of solar sciences, attracted by sublime phenomena, charitable, godly, lucky, successful, devoted, ordinary health, little patrimony, will have dutiful sons, a man of action and thought, self acquired property, will own many lands, philosophical, glandular disease, lover of poetry and music, a successful agriculturist, learned in esoteric and occult subjects, ambitious and enterprising.


  10. Sun in the Tenth House: Bold, courageous, well known, famous, clever in acquiring wealth, superior knack, healthy, learned, adventurous, educated, decisive nature, lover of music, founder of institutions, will have a high position and status in the society, dutiful sons, much personal influence, successful military or political career.
  11. Sun in the Eleventh House: Learned, wealthy, stately and persevering, success will come effortlessly, will be famous, acquire a number of enemies, wealth though fair means, good reputation, profound insight, capacity to befriend, many political enemies, man of principles, great sagacity, great success and position.
  12. Sun in the Twelfth House: The native will be sinful, poor, fallen, thieving nature, unsuccessful, adulterous, neglected, long limbs, ceremonial minded and lover of esoteric and occult knowledge, no happiness from children.

My Own Interpretation & Experience

When I was only a student of astrology, I applied these concepts on a number of charts and honestly I found that these concepts are really working and it actually gave me a very great feeling that I can exactly tell which planet is giving what types of results. If you know a person very well and if you have the chart of that person then you can see that all the theories are actually applying.

But, the problem starts when you try to apply these concepts in order to predict about someone you do not know. There are very bright chances that you will end up doing wrong predictions almost 90% of the time. Suppose, you have the Sun in the twelfth house, but what if it is exalted or in a good Navamsha, which makes these theories self contradicting and that made me write these posts

This is what I feel why they wrote certain theories for a particular placement of the Sun in the birth chart:
  1. First house signifies the whole body and head, when the Sun comes in this house it will brighten this house and therefore the native will strongly be affected by the qualities of the Sun. Sun is the king, therefore politics comes into play and Sun represents heroism and noble qualities therefore the person will become righteous and will have a strong dignified appearance. I have seen birth charts where Sun in present in first house but not all of them were healthy or have a very strong appearance and "I found out this concept is not accurately working even for those who are having an exalted Sun" in the first house. 
  2. Second house represents the face and if the fiery and hot Sun will enter in your second house then it will hurt your appearance through acne and other fiery types of diseases.
  3. Third house represents how you communicate, courage, media and doing self efforts and when the bright Sun will enter here it will surely make a famous courageous and famous. I saw a number of birth charts with this placement but not all of them are famous. If you will see birth chart of Shahrukh Khan then you will say this concept is perfectly working because he has Sun in his third house but the Sun is debilitated, again the confusion if you should follow the theory stated above or you should see negative qualities Sun will bring due to its debilitation.
  4. When Sun is in fourth house it means the native is born during the midnight. They say that Sun represents a person's ability to shine and rise but during midnight, the Sun is present at its lowest point due to which success will not come early to the person. In our system, Nadi Astrology, we see what time period a person is going through in order to predict early or late success while in this theory it is stated that success will come late just by the placement of Sun in one house.
  5. Sun in fifth house will make a person intelligent and poor at the same time. The Indian politician Sonia Gandhi has Sun in the fifth house and everybody knows how rich and powerful she is. Again, the theory failed to exactly predict.
  6. Sixth house is for the competition, dealing with unprivileged people and gaining wealth by winning competitions. Sun will brighten these aspects and burn out all the enemies through its fire when it will enter in this house.


  7. Sun represents male qualities and it makes a person more work oriented and due to which it hurts the marriage part as it works when you show love and care to your partner which is a female quality. I have seen chart of people having Sun in the seventh house and I remember a person with this placement having strong moral values and a very spiritual nature.
  8. Eighth house determines the longevity of a person and Sun will give a long life to a person with this placement. I know a person with this placement but that person is very religious and  not uncharitable. 
  9. Ninth house represents religion, divinity, dutifulness, righteousness and higher knowledge. If Sun will come in this house then it will bring out these qualities and make a person knowledgeable, charitable and devoted towards God, society and work.
  10. Tenth house is the part of sky just above your head, if you Sun is in the tenth house then it means you are born in the middle of the day when Sun shines the brightest. So, like the Sun you will shine brightest. Sun will give you good health, status in the society, make you influential, give success in politics, clever, educated, intelligent and what not. But again I have not seen that people are always getting successful in politics if they have Sun in the tenth house. There are millions of people having Sun in this house and not all of them are going to have a successful political career.
  11. Eleventh house is for fulfillment of desires and I always say that this house has some magical effect. If you have majority of planets strongly signifying eleventh house then this house alone is capable of taking you to heights and when Sun will come in this house then it will signify eleventh house and will help in fulfilling desires. But we do have to analyze the lord of Constellation and its Sub before concluding.
  12. Twelfth house is for losses, solitude, going in depth of subjects and it is the eighth house from the house of children, fifth house, due to which the Sun being the owner of Leo sign, natural fifth house of the zodiac will give troubles with respect to the children. 
When you will go to a so called learned astrologer and you will ask what results a particular placement of Sun will give to you, the chances are high that the astrologer will follow these theories. I know this because when I did not know astrology and I went to other astrologers for consultation they did it the same way and I found out this later. When the predictions will go wrong they will tell you that they also need to analyze the placement of other planets. So, if they have to analyze other planets as well then why they follow these theories?

Being a mathematician the most simplified answer I can give is that, "The birth chart of a person is like a long mathematical equation and the nine planets are like the nine variables that gives different results with respect to time".

The sages of earlier times very truly scientist and somehow they found a way to relate lives of people with the movement of planets in the sky while the modern scientists can only imagine how each particle in the universe affects the other particles.
